James McCann to Deliver Talk on Africa’s Historical Ecologies of

Climate Change and Watersheds, March 5

 

(Chapel Hill, N.C. – Feb. 25, 2015)— James McCann will deliver a talk on changes in hydrology in sub-Saharan Africa at 5:30 p.m. on March 5 in room 1005 at the FedEx Global Education Center.

 

McCann will discuss hydroelectric and irrigation dam projects and will examine expected regional and global climate changes. He is associate director of the African Studies Center and a faculty fellow at the Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer Range Future at Boston University, where he is also chair of the department of archaeology and professor of history.
