UNC-Chapel Hill to announce new downtown Chapel Hill performing arts facility on May 27

 

(Chapel Hill, N.C.—May 26, 2015) – The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will announce plans for a unique, new performing arts facility to be located in downtown Chapel Hill on Wednesday, May 27. UNC-Chapel Hill Chancellor Carol L. Folt, Chapel Hill Mayor Mark Kleinschmidt, UNC Executive Director for the Arts Emil Kang and Jeff Furman, of Cousins Properties and Northwood Ravin, will participate in the multimedia presentation and will be available for questions after the announcement. Artists, faculty and community leaders affiliated with the space will also attend and be available for interviews. The event will begin promptly at 10 a.m. at Memorial Hall on Carolina’s campus.

Media Check-In: Media must check in at Memorial Hall no earlier than 9:30 a.m. MC VanGraafeiland will be the on-site contact.

 

Parking: A limited number of spaces will be available for press in lots near Memorial Hall. Contact MC VanGraafeiland (mc.vangraafeiland@unc.edu) by 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26 to reserve parking.
