Student fund managers at Kenan-Flagler invest in D.C. condo project E-mail

The Kenan-Flagler Business School Foundation Real Estate Investment Fund recently invested in a condominium project in Washington, D.C. This is the fund’s fourth investment in the past two years and completes placement of the first half of the $2.1 million of capital committed to the fund.

Cousins Properties Incorporated, which is partnering on the redevelopment of University Square with Chapel Hill Foundation Real Estate Holdings, will discuss the redevelopment at two public meetings on Thursday, Oct. 15. Public input will guide the development of a concept plan to be submitted next spring.

UNC and Duke Energy sign contract to develop coastal wind pilot project E-mail

In a pilot project designed to harness the power of the ocean breezes along North Carolina’s coast, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke Energy announced they have signed a contract to place up to three demonstration wind turbines in the Pamlico Sound.
