Martin Eakes, founder and CEO of Self-Help, will speak about “Subprime Lending, Social Justice and Self-Help” at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School Oct. 11 at 5:30 p.m. The talk by Eakes, a nationally recognized expert on development finance, is sponsored by the Center for Sustainable Enterprise at UNC Kenan-Flagler’s Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise.
The North Carolina native holds a law degree from Yale University, a master’s degree from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public Affairs and a BA from Davidson College. UNC Kenan-Flagler’s Center for Sustainable Enterprise helps executives and future business leaders understand how social and environmental considerations are changing the competitive landscape of business. The free, public talk will be held in Koury Auditorium. Free parking will be available in the business school deck.
