 A “boot camp” for minority female university students interested in entrepreneurship will be offered by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill June 8-10.

“Going Global: An Entrepreneurship Boot Camp for Minority Female Students” is designed for female undergraduate students from North Carolina and surrounding states who have interests in business and entrepreneurship. It is a program of the Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) at the Frank Hawkins Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.

Kenan-Flagler entrepreneurship professor Patrick Vernon will lead the new boot camp aimed at creating a generation of globally competitive entrepreneurs and women-owned enterprises.  The training will cover such topics as competing in a global environment, concept testing and primary research and social entrepreneurship. Participants will meet with and learn from successful women entrepreneurs.

The boot camp is limited to 25 participants. The early registration fee is $95; after May 24 the fee is $115.
