UNC Lineberger scientist receives Joan's Legacy grant for lung cancer research E-mail

Dr. D. Neil Hayes, assistant professor of medicine in the UNC School of Medicine, has received a two-year $100,00 grant from Joan’s Legacy: The Joan Scarangello Foundation to Conquer Lung Cancer. The funding was from the Thomas G. Labrecque Foundation through the Joan’s Legacy Research Grant Program.  Hayes, one of 12 grant recipients nationally, is a faculty member of UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. He will use the grant to study Molecular Subtypes of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer.

Walsh receives geography lifetime achievement award E-mail
