UNC leads UWIRE 100 list of top college journalists E-mail

Five UNC-Chapel Hill students have been named as part of the UWIRE 100, honoring the nation’s top 100 collegiate journalists from more than 500 nominations. UNC-Chapel Hill had the most students honored among 132 schools. A UWIRE panel judged each candidate based on demonstrated excellence in a field of collegiate journalism.

Public Service Scholars graduates combine service, education E-mail

Carrie Crespo, Stephen Hoyle and Jaymin Patel will be graduating with the Class of 2008 this Sunday (May 11), and they, along with 112 other members of their class, will be wearing a special Carolina blue and white cord they will receive today (May 9). The cord designates them as graduating Public Service Scholars at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
